About Our School
Welcome to the Glanduff National School website. Our school is a co-educational, Catholic school in the parish of Knockcroghery. We are situated in the heart of Ireland, 15 minutes from Athlone town and 15 minutes from Roscommon town. We cater for boys and girls from Junior Infants to 6th class. We currently have 147 pupils, 7 mainstream class teachers, 3 special education teachers and 3 special needs assistants. We take great pride in our wonderful, active and green school. Our staff work in partnership with our parents to promote spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of our pupils. We are especially keen to foster personal and academic development in a caring, secure, challenging environment so that all of our pupils can reach their full potential. We celebrated Friendship Day yesterday. We had a super day filled with Buddy reading and art, a whole school Bí Cineálta assembly and a friendship singalong Thanks to our Student Council for their work in preparing this day.
Our Green Schools committee recently enjoyed a wonderful trip to Galway`s Living Bog. The sun shone and we learned a lot about this wonderful place.

Junior and Senior Infants enjoyed their school tour today in Gruane Pet Farm. And 1st Class had a mighty day on their "Lets Go" school tour in TUS yesterday.
